Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is coming to Ontario

Making a difference, one stop at a time

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train hits the rails again on November 28th and will be visiting communities across our Ontario. Each event features a boxcar stage, a lineup of great musical talent and a contribution to the local food bank. Everyone who attends is encouraged to donate food and money which stays in their community.  For a list of when the Holiday Train hits a community near you check here

Festival of Lights – This is one of the more popular events in Kapuskasing. It kicks off mid-November and continues until mid-January. The festival consists of several winter activities including the lighting of thousands of Christmas lights in the Riverside Park.

Kingsville 

Fantasy of Lights – The 23rd Annual Kingsville Fantasy of Lights Festival has an outstanding line up of entertainment for the whole family. Don’t miss Dinner With Santa, Opening Ceremonies with Fireworks at lakeside Park, Ice Wine and Art at the Park, The Santa Claus Parade, Special Senior’s Day, Train Rides around the Park, and of course over 200 lighted displays that bring lakeside park to life.

Winter Wonderland @ Victoria Park – Each holiday season London residents and visitors can stroll through Victoria Park and enjoy the glittering display of lights that create our city’s Winter Wonderland. Cavalcade of Lights – Celebration of the 48th annual Cavalcade of Lights featuring the illumination of Toronto’s official Christmas tree, performances by some of Canada’s top musical talent, a brilliant fireworks show and a skating party at Nathan Phillips Square, the festive event is a holiday tradition in Toronto.

 

One of a Kind Show and Sale@ Direct Energy Centre – Everything sold at the show is made by hand in North America by Canadian and/or American artisans.  The Christmas Show features handmade designs by over 800 artists, makers, designers and craftspeople.

They frolic everywhere! The main street (Sykes St.), and harbour area, are particularly alive with scarecrows during this time.

International Puppet Festival – A great day or weekend out for anyone who loves the opportunity to take in original theatre, enjoy the delights offered by a beautiful and historic town like Almonte, and the pleasures of an outdoor festival experience.  Providing great entertainment for families with children of all ages, many of the festival’s shows and street entertainers are designed for the very young, while others will keep older kids and adults fully engaged.

    Woofa-Roo Pet Fest – Woofa~Roo is a fun filled festival for pets and their people featuring live acts including, Dock Diving, Howling Contests, Musical Entertainment, Charity Events and much more! You’ll even have an opportunity to have your photo taken with Zeus, the World’s Tallest Dog!  Specialty vendors, artisans and professionals will be present to showcase various pet & people goods and information.

    Garlic Festival – Perth Garlic Festival is a celebration to the ‘stinking rose’.     International Powerboat Show – This is an all-ages three (3) day outdoor festival with over 35,000 people in attendance. The festival’s main attraction is the free professional powerboat race on the St. Clair River, Sunday afternoon. There is plenty of daytime programming geared to the whole family which includes boat parades, powerboat time trials, boat displays, wakeboard competitions, meet and greet with drivers, inflatable childrens’ play area, local bands, street performers, local business’, artist kiosks and an interactive tall ships.
