Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is coming to Ontario
Making a difference, one stop at a time
The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train hits the rails again on November 28th and will be visiting communities across our Ontario. Each event features a boxcar stage, a lineup of great musical talent and a contribution to the local food bank. Everyone who attends is encouraged to donate food and money which stays in their community. For a list of when the Holiday Train hits a community near you check here

Alexandria Festival of Lights – Opening festivities begin at 4 pm at The Sandfield. Opening ceremonies to begin at 6pm with our invited dignitaries followed by the official “Lighting up of Island Park” at 6:30pm.
River Lights Winter Festival – Step back in time to a perfect holiday setting! Special weekends every November,visit 2 delightfully decorated parks and warm up at the new Gingerbread House at Toddy Jones Park.Victorian and Children’s themed LED light displays, period costumes, horse drawn carriage rides, carollers bell ringers, Visit one of the prettiest towns in Ontario for a winter wonderland experience!
Holiday Traditions @ Royal Botanical Gardens – Celebrate winter at RBG with Holiday Traditions, RBG’s annual holiday season event featuring Canada’s best all-botanical model train installation. You’ll find Canadian highlights in RBG Centre and a new train in our Mediterranean Garden featuring Wonders of the World. Weekends are filled with seasonal activities, musical entertainment, local school and adult choirs, light and model train displays, and a traditional Santa. Runs until January
Gingerbread House Festival – Follow the gingerbread trail through downtown Cobourg and enter to win one of the many decorated gingerbread houses. Draw and judging on Friday, December 11 6:00pm at Harbour Breeze Condo Showroom, 1 King Street East, Cobourg. During the festival, donations will be gratefully accepted for Habitat for Humanity.
Christmas Magic – Christmas Magic transforms Victoria Park and the Waterfront into a dazzling display of over 100,000 coloured lights.
Festival of Lights @ Lions Harbour Park – Let Goderich brighten your mood and delight your heart with yuletide joy, glittering lights, magical displays and special events during this annual salute to the festive holiday season.
Victorian Christmas @ Dundurn National Historic Site – Enjoy the beauty of a mid-19th century family Christmas celebration at Dundurn Castle. The Garden Club of Hamilton decorates the Castle in Victorian splendour with cedar boughs, ribbons and dried flowers. Bring your family and share a Hamilton holiday tradition.
Festival of Lights – This is one of the more popular events in Kapuskasing. It kicks off mid-November and continues until mid-January. The festival consists of several winter activities including the lighting of thousands of Christmas lights in the Riverside Park.
Fantasy of Lights – The 23rd Annual Kingsville Fantasy of Lights Festival has an outstanding line up of entertainment for the whole family. Don’t miss Dinner With Santa, Opening Ceremonies with Fireworks at lakeside Park, Ice Wine and Art at the Park, The Santa Claus Parade, Special Senior’s Day, Train Rides around the Park, and of course over 200 lighted displays that bring lakeside park to life.
Winter Wonderland @ Victoria Park – Each holiday season London residents and visitors can stroll through Victoria Park and enjoy the glittering display of lights that create our city’s Winter Wonderland. In addition to more than 75,000 lights decorating park trees, there are a variety of displays including Santa and his reindeer, tin soldiers, a jack-in-the-box and the nativity.
First Light Event – See the beauty of the historic site lit only by the warm glow of over 5,000 candles. Aboriginal drummers & singers; Traditional French Canadian music; Local choirs; Take home crafts; Arts & craft show.
Walk to Bethlehem @ Country Heritage Park – Re-live the Walk to Bethlehem – Guided tours, 20 scenes to visit, authentic costumes, sheep & shepherds and more

CANDLELIGHT WALK & CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS – Victorian Village Lighting Ceremony, carollers parade down heritage main street at 7pm into Memorial Park where the lights go on November 27th until January 2nd
Christmas in the Village – Admission is Free – Everyone is Welcome!Endless Christmas activities to take part in including: Christmas caroling by the Resolution Quartet, Farm animal petting zoo, Free hot chocolate and cookies, Christmas tree competition, Free souvenir photo booth pictures, Crafts for the children at the Point Edward Library, Free horse and buggy rides, Santa Claus will be visiting for the children and more
Celebration of Lights – Many displays & thousands of lights along with a 72 foot arch over Front Street, light up Centennial Park during the holiday season. Opening ceremonies includes fireworks, entertainment, trolley rides, etc
Lowe’s Toronto Christmas Market – This holiday season Toronto will once again celebrate the romance and magic of a traditional Christmas at Lowe’s Toronto Christmas Market. Inspired by the Old World and influenced by the New, this free annual event captures all of the tradition, heritage and charm of a European Christmas Market, while showcasing hundreds of unique and local handcrafted products. Family friendly entertainment includes musicians, carolers and children’s choirs.
Cavalcade of Lights – Celebration of the 48th annual Cavalcade of Lights featuring the illumination of Toronto’s official Christmas tree, performances by some of Canada’s top musical talent, a brilliant fireworks show and a skating party at Nathan Phillips Square, the festive event is a holiday tradition in Toronto.
One of a Kind Show and Sale@ Direct Energy Centre – Everything sold at the show is made by hand in North America by Canadian and/or American artisans. The Christmas Show features handmade designs by over 800 artists, makers, designers and craftspeople.
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony – The annual lighting of the tree is a fun family evening including: Hot chocolate, Christmas Carols lead by the Prime Time Singers, count down to Tree Lighting and a visit from Santa Claus!
Wonders of Winter – Opening night is November 28th starting at 5:30 with a candle light gathering, light up the park at 6:00 and then a fantastic fireworks display to kick off the season!
