September 27, 28 and 29th are Culture Days across Canada.  Culture Days raises the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.  With the support of volunteer groups at the national, provincial and local levels, hundreds of thousands of artists, cultural workers, organizations and groups, volunteers and supporters  self-mobilize to host free participatory public activities that take place in hundreds of cities and towns throughout the country.


Pumpkinfests, Harvest Festivals, corn mazes and so much more awaits your family this Fall at  local farms across Ontario.   Check out our list of Farms in Ontario that will have your family enjoying the most that fall has to offer.

Richardson’s Farm & Market – Oodles of fun awaits you at the farm this fall.  Explore the 6 km of trail in our 7 acre corn maze, challenge yourself to figure out the  Jammed Tractor mini maze, cats cradle maze and pathway puzzle maze and play in the strawbale maze.  Lasso some toy horses, play in the corn box, enjoy a tractor ride, visit the animals and chuck some pumpkins at targets.  Of course before you leave, don’t forget to get a pumpkin!


Fall Rural Romp – Get your Wellies ready! Enjoy a fun-filled day out in the countryside, visiting farms, markets and local food shops. Learn about how your food is grown, visit with farm animals and shop for local food & fall decorations along the way.

Strom’s Farm – Have some fun times at Strom’s Farm in their Harvest Fun area including; Jumpin Jack Tile Maze, Rope Maze, Straw Maze, Pumpkin Chuckin, Wagon Rides, 6 acre Corn Maze (4 miles of paths), Sand Pit, Pedal Carts ,Cedar Spiral and a Pumpkin of a Show Puppet Show.  Open Weekends Sept 21 thru Oct 27

Fall Fair – The 150th Ripley Fall Fair will overtake the village for three days Sept. 27-29, with a tractor pull, Ambassador competitions, a massive midway, agricultural exhibits, parade and much more.


Apple Festival – Come celebrate the 34th Annual Ruthven Apple Festival on Saturday, September 28th and Sunday, September 29th at Colasanti’s Tropical Gardens in Ruthven. This is a great community event for the entire family, filled with fun, food, crafts, entertainment and a classic car show on Sunday.


History Hands-On Fall Fun for the Whole Family – Come and enjoy all that a 19th Century School Fall Fair offers! Canada’s Baking and Sweets Show – This event has fun for the entire family!  North America’s first and biggest baking and sweets event. Canada’s Baking and Sweets Show takes you on a gourmet grand tour of the most delectable and hottest trends in the world of baking and beyond. Our theme this year is “Alice in Wonderland” so join ALICE for a grand time baking and sampling sweets at Toronto’s Congress Centre!


Apple Butter & Cheese Festival – Every great festival is built on great food, great events, and great fun! In Wellesley, the food begins with a pancake breakfast at the crack of dawn and continues with a smorgasbord at noon, not to mention the apple butter and apple cider available all day long. Around Town This Weekend…


Ancaster Fair – Fair fun includes: Dairy shows, sheep shearing, live entertainment, spelling bee, fun fair, midway, demolition derby, exhibits, horse shows, 4-H, homecrafts, baby show and more.


Bolton Fall Fair – It all kicks off with Twoonie night on the Midway Thursday night.  The rest of the weekend is packed full with demolition derby, entertainment, food, exhibits, car show, animal shows, tractor pull and more.


Great Northern Exhibition – The list of fun is extensive for this weekend, including: Food, animals,  rides, entertainment, smash up derby, games, educational stuff, children’s tent, arts and crafts and the list goes on…

Fall Fair @ Upper Canada Village – Come out for the annual reenactment of a traditional 1860 fair complete with livestock,  best of things made and grown at Upper Canada Village, gricultural and dairy products, vegetables, flowers, handiwork and fine art .


Buskerfestival – Outdoor buskers and stage performers including juggling, magic, puppetry, music, comedy, theatre, face painting, balloon twists, caricatures, clowning, dance, music and circus stunts. Free admission.


Richmond Fair –  The Fair promotes agricultural awareness within the City of Ottawa, a city with the largest agricultural land base and agricultural economy in Canada.  In addition there will be a demolition derby, live music shows, aerial shows, rock climbing, reptile shows, BMX bike shows, etc. provide a vast array of entertaining events for the whole family.

International Animation Festival – The Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) is the largest event of its kind in North America, a major film event attracting attendees from around the world. Film buffs, art lovers and cartoon fans won’t want to miss this year’s great line up of screenings.


Fall Fair – Our theme this year is Magic, Memories and Music. We hope to provide you with lots of music, magic shows and new this year a Classic Car show and activities to give you a walk down memory lane. Applefest – There’s something “a-peeling” for everyone at Applefest.  A fantastic festival highlighting apples, pies, crafts, artisans, live entertainment, kids’ rides and much more.


Fall Fair – The Stratford Fall Fair has a super fun weekend planned with exhibits, midway, 4-H show, Battle of the bands, shows, contests and entertainment.

Pioneer Harvest Festival @ Black Creek Pioneer Village – This Mennonite and Pennsylvia-German festival is full of delicious foods such as home made pies, cheese curds, sausages, apple butter, hand-made ice cream and more.  Don’t miss the fast-paced, one of a kind quilt auction!  There will also be wagon rides, kid’s activities, music and livestock programs.

Windfest – Kites, kites and more kites.  Windfest is Toronto’s largest kite festival. From expert kite fliers, to kids flying their first kite, there is a space for everyone at WindFest. Kite flying is a fun, safe, creative and multi-cultural activity that anyone can enjoy! We’ll have workshops on how to make kites, and how to fly kites too!

Sweets & Treats Festival @ Sugar Beach – Taste some of Toronto’s best sweets, from the food trucks and vendors as well as other delectable treats. There will also be a beer and wine garden and buskers performing throughout the day. This all-ages event features tons of activities for the kids. To add to the excitement there will be a midway of rides and inflatables.

The Grapevine Festival – There will be various shows and programs for both kids and adults, some of the activities are: Unique foods that feature the flavours of the neighbourhood, wine and cheese tasting, live entertainment, children’s rides, activities and inflatables.

Word on the Street – Canada’s Largest One-Day Book and Magazine Festival And it’s FREE!  There will be lots of family-fun activities at the festival. KidStreet is a special area of the park devoted to families, and offers exciting children’s programming all day in the TVO Kids Stage, the TD Children’s Literature Tent and the Children’s Activity Tent.


Royal Medieval Faire – Hear Ye… Hear Ye… Welcome lords and ladies to the Royal Medieval Faire! Huzzah! The Royal Medieval Faire is one of the premier medieval festivals in Ontario. Join us for our 16th year and a great celebration with food, music, magic and swordplay

The Force is with LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Toronto this Weekend!!  As the Jedi continue to wage their centuries-old conflict with the Sith, you are invited to dress up as your favourite Star WarsTM character and participate in various activities.

Missing Links Fun Day – Missing Links is opening its doors to host a celebration for our agency, families, friends and the community. In addition to hosting a fabulous party, we will be holding a silent auction and raffle in attempts to raise funds for our extended programming needs.

Fall Fair – The 183rd Kingston Fall Fair at the Kingston Memorial Centre Fairgrounds includes the 17th annual Country Singing Showdown, CCW Wrestling, Horse and Cattle shows and World’s Finest Shows!


Pow Wow @ Museum of Archaeology – Visitors can spend the whole day taking part in the endless activities and workshops we offer including: Traditional dancers, singers, drummers, storytellers, Art and cooking demonstrations, Hand drum, Four Medicines, Beading, Lacrosse, & Mandala making workshops, London Potter’s Guild Pit Firing; Flint Knapping demonstrations, Iroquois Beadwork Exhibit from the Royal Ontario Museum, Food and Craft vendors featuring traditional items, Child & Youth Activities and Tour the Museum

Garlic Festival – It is a delicious culinary event in Niagara-On-The-Lake, where there are vendors from all over Ontario that either grow garlic, like elephant or music, or incorporate garlic into their dishes like jams and jellies even chocolate. There will be cooking demo’s, garlic braiding also how to grow garlic. with lots more to see. Try Garlic Ice Cream.


World Fair – The Oro World’s Fair showcases and celebrates agriculture and rural living. Hundreds of exhibits, a midway, demolition derby, tractor pull and great food make the Oro World’s Fair fun for the entire family.


Electric Fields Festival – Electric Fields is a festival about play. Artists at play. Technology at play. Everything perched in a state between unknown and known, on the exciting edge of unpredictable, ready to create a new experience for the audience and artist alike.

Owen Sound

Ribfest – This is a family event with free gate admission, live music and kids’ activities.  Teams of Ribbers compete for various trophies including best ribs, best chicken, best sauce and the coveted “People’s Choice” award — as chosen by the festival attendees.

Port Hope 

Annual Fall Fair – Don’t miss the oldest fair in central Ontario where the fun includes: live entertainment, petting zoo and pony rides, midway, tractor and horse pull, demo derby, antique cars and tractors and more.


Fall Fair – The 168th year of this fun event includes: Ambassador & Citizenship Awards Dinner, Exhibits, the Bike Draw, Parade, Lawn Mower Races, Demolition Derby, both Junior and Adult Dances and much more!

Dragon Boat Festival – The Annual Stratford Rotary Dragon Boat Festival is a one day, recreational, Hong Kong style race. Over sixty teams participate. The Grand Champion and Community Division Champions are honoured with trophies at the closing ceremonies. Proceeds from the event support community activities.


Bloor West Village Ukranian Festival – On top of the music, dancers and musicians,  you will find vendor kiosks: delicious authentic Ukrainian food and beverages, beautiful souvenirs, interactive pavilions, and more. This year you can also enjoy SIDEWALK SALE shopping at the local Bloor West Village businesses. There is a midway for kids and youth. Take in the colourful parade on Saturday morning at 11am.

Roncesvalles Polish Festival – Great entertainment is the key to any great festival, and we’ve got it all, from award-winning buskers and street performers to fantastic polka bands, Polish folklore and dance groups, and great local musicians of every variety on six stages with continuous music all Saturday and Sunday. Oh and don’t forget to sample some of the delicious food!

Gluten Free Expo @ Metro Toronto Convention Centre – Discover, sample and buy Gluten Free products from over 100 exhibitors while learning from health and cooking expo


Fall Fair – “COWBOY BOOTS & COUNTRY ROOTS” this is the theme for this year’s fall fair.  There will be lots of fun for the whole family, including: midway, fireworks, kids shows, entertainment, food, demonstrations, exhibits, horse show and more.


Apple Festival @ Birtch Farm – Come celebrate the apple season as we host our annual Apple Festival.  Horse drawn wagon rides through the orchard, along the “Apple Tale Trail”, colourful autumn displays and yummy apple treats baked in very own bakery are just some of the pleasures that await you. Lunch, fresh from the grill and listening to live music will enhance your experience.  Farmer Bob’s Barnyard Adventure will be in full swing with several new activities.
