Come to participate in activities, contests and games for the whole family. The BIA will also be conducting a food drive for Neighbour to Neighbour Food Bank. Richmond Fair –  The Fair promotes agricultural awareness within the City of Ottawa, a city with the largest agricultural land base and agricultural economy in Canada.  In addition there will be a demolition derby, live music shows, aerial shows, rock climbing, reptile shows, BMX bike shows, etc. provide a vast array of entertaining events for the whole family.

International Animation Festival – The Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) is the largest event of its kind in North America, a major film event attracting attendees from around the world. Fall Fair – Our theme this year is Magic, Memories and Music. Windfest – Kites, kites and more kites.  Windfest is Toronto’s largest kite festival. From expert kite fliers, to kids flying their first kite, there is a space for everyone at WindFest. Kite flying is a fun, safe, creative and multi-cultural activity that anyone can enjoy! We’ll have workshops on how to make kites, and how to fly kites too!

Word on the Street – Canada’s Largest One-Day Book and Magazine Festival And it’s FREE!  There will be lots of family-fun activities at the festival. KidStreet is a special area of the park devoted to families, and offers exciting children’s programming all day in the TVO Kids Stage, the TD Children’s Literature Tent and the Children’s Activity Tent.

Folk Festival – Set amidst the natural beauty of Hog’s Back Park, the Ottawa Folk Festival is a five-day celebration of music, dance, visual arts and community featuring an eclectic mix of musical performances on multiple stages, plus participatory music workshops, special children’s and family performances, beer gardens, artisan and craft vendors, and much, much more.

Dragon Boat Festival – The Annual Stratford Rotary Dragon Boat Festival is a one day, recreational, Hong Kong style race. Over sixty teams participate. The Grand Champion and Community Division Champions are honoured with trophies at the closing ceremonies. Proceeds from the event support community activities.

Toronto

Bloor West Village Ukranian Festival – On top of the music, dancers and musicians,  you will find vendor kiosks: delicious authentic Ukrainian food and beverages, beautiful souvenirs, interactive pavilions, and more. This year you can also enjoy SIDEWALK SALE shopping at the local Bloor West Village businesses. There is a midway for kids and youth. Take in the colourful parade on Saturday morning at 11am.

Roncesvalles Polish Festival – Great entertainment is the key to any great festival, and we’ve got it all, from award-winning buskers and street performers to fantastic polka bands, Polish folklore and dance groups, and great local musicians of every variety on six stages with continuous music all Saturday and Sunday. Oh and don’t forget to sample some of the delicious food!

Agricultural Fair – the Arthur Fall Fair is an annual celebration of community and agriculture held every year on the weekend after Labour Day.  Come out and enjoy the Livestock , parade, food, tractor pull, midway, western horse show, blacksmith demo, shows, prizes, games and more.

Aurora

Ribfest – Not only will there be the tastiest ribs but also roasted yams, roasted corn on the cob, beavertails and many other dishes for every appetite! We also will have great musical guests, a giant midway and activities for kids of all ages. A beer garden will be proudly run by the Aurora Rotary Club.

Barrie

Worm Rodeo @ Chappell Farms – This is a country fair with a difference! With games for the kiddies, food, refreshments, prizes for the champions and even neighbours you haven’t met yet.  Make friends with the animals already found at Chappell Farms.  There are small animals for the kids, big and little, to see and feed.  Sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, peacocks, and Tom the turkey.  Live entertainment, food, refreshments, and yes (did we mention that we are on a farm) there will even be corn and fresh produce.

Fall Fair – Festivities begin September 5th to September 8th, 2013 with amazing shows, rides, entertainment, food, crafts & vendors, and more!

Jazz Festival – Take in five days of great music in a lovely Canadian city. Sign up for a workshop or take in a panel discussion or lecture in addition to listening to the many local and international artists. The creative improvised music and innovative jazz shows played in a community setting have helped this festival earn international acclaim. Venues include churches, an art gallery and youth music centre. 11,000 or so visitors come out to enjoy this annual event the weekend after Labour Day.

Locke Street Festival – Locke Street Festival is an annual event with stalls, live entertainment, food and everything you need for a fun-filled family day out.

Kingston

Ribfest & Craft Beer Show – Barbequed ribs and chicken, great craft-brewed beer, live entertainment – all in the great atmosphere of Memorial Centre Park. Life doesn’t get much better! Bring your friends, family and co-workers and savour the flavour! Admission is free but please don’t forget a donation for the food bank.

Kitchener

Mighty Machines Showcase @ Chicopee Ski & Summer Resort – The Mighty Machines Showcase is a family oriented community event that brings Mighty Machines to life, providing adults and kids a chance to see construction and other service vehicles up close.

Mississauga

Tim Horton’s Southside Shuffle – Port Credit’s Annual Blues and Jazz Festival featuring three stages and over 120 Canadian and International Blues and Jazz artists. 

Niagara Falls

Fireworks over the Falls – Canada’s longest-running fireworks series is underway with fireworks every Friday, Sunday, and holiday until September 1, preceded by the popular Coca Cola Concert Series on the Victoria Park Stage. The best views are in Queen Victoria Park overlooking Niagara Falls.

Aberfoyle

Fall Fair – Packed full of fun as always you will be able o enjoy the midway, hall exhibits, live entertainment, tractor pull, heavy horse show, adult strong person competition and so much more!

Agricultural Fair – the Arthur Fall Fair is an annual celebration of community and agriculture held every year on the weekend after Labour Day.  Come out and enjoy the Livestock , parade, food, tractor pull, midway, western horse show, blacksmith demo, shows, prizes, games and more.

Aurora

Ribfest – Not only will there be the tastiest ribs but also roasted yams, roasted corn on the cob, beavertails and many other dishes for every appetite! We also will have great musical guests, a giant midway and activities for kids of all ages. Worm Rodeo @ Chappell Farms – This is a country fair with a difference! Family Fishing Week 

Ontario Family Fishing Events is a province-wide opportunity for Canadian residents to fish Ontario waters without the otherwise mandatory fishing version outdoors card.  Events such as festivals, clinics, derbies and workshops are hosted across the province. To find an event near you, visit the Events List from Ontario Family Fishing. Each event provides a great opportunity to get outside, spend some wholesome time with the family, and develop a strong connection with conservation through the enjoyment of fishing.

Festival of Arts & Crafts – The Festival of Arts and Craft is held in a park in beautiful historic Goderich. The event hosts as many as 150 craft persons who display their wares. The festival draws thousand of tourists to our lake-side town every year. You do not want to miss the opportunity to see and purchase unique, hand-crafted items. The festival is also the largest fund raiser for Huron Women’s Shelter.

Jazz, Art & Craft Festival – The 15th annual Lakefield Jazz Art Craft Festival invites you, your friends and family to come to a breezy day of outdoor summer living July 6 beside Lakefield’s scenic Otonabee River to enjoy a wide variety of Jazz music, colourful works for sale by artisans and crafters, plus interesting foods and ice cold beverages.

Canada Day – At 9am start your day with a gorgeous course and 5 K run from the Fort.  Enjoy free activities and entertainment throughout the day and end it with a spectacular fireworks finale along the Detroit River!  This traditional event is the best in the region and not to be missed!

Canada Day Festivities – Port  Hope Kinsmen celebrates Canada Day, July 1st, with an Antique Car Show in Rotary Park and Town Hall Parking Lot at 9am and Rock the Dogwalk 9am-1030am.  The annual Calithumpian Parade commences at 11am at the corner of Ridout and Bramley streets and continuing down Heritage Main Street. Turtlefest – Our festival is based on a legendary promise by Tillsonburg’s founder, George Tillson, to return one day as a turtle to see how his town was prospering. Several years after his passing, a giant turtle was found on the banks of the Otter Creek near the Tillson homestead. Remembering his promise, Tillsonburg citizens brought the turtle to the downtown area & everyone was invited to come and see “George” and let him know how the town had prospered. It’s been over a hundred & thirty years since this event and Tillsonburg is still growing.
