A Portage Flyer Christmas – Train ride to Santa – Enjoy complimentary hot chocolate and cookies and join in on a carol or two. The train coaches have literally a thousand lights and of course Santa is waiting at the end of the line to hear your side of the story. The combination of a train, lights and Santa is almost too much for the adults, let alone the kids. There is no reserve seating or advance ticket sales, just purchase your $5.00 per person ticket (Santa pays the tax) prior to boarding. We travel along the Muskoka River on our 1km of track to Fairy Lake where riders may debark , visit with Santa and catch the next train back or remain on board for the return trip.

Hanging of the Greens – Santa will visit between 5:00pm and 7:00pm! Non profit organizations selling “pigs in a blanket”, hotdogs, hamburgers and beef on a bun and lots more goodies on main street! The Lighted Santa Claus Parade begins at 7:45. The streets will be lined with campfires to keep warm

Milton

On the Way to Bethlehem @ Country Heritage Park – An outdoor Christmas Nativity Pageant. Arriving anytime from 6:30 until 8:30 pm, visitors will enter the large reception area in Gambrel Barn, where they will enjoy the music of the mass choir. When ready, groups will travel the road to Bethlehem with a “guide.” On their 30–45 minute outdoor journey, visitors will witness King Herod’s court, interact with Roman soldiers, shepherds, magi, innkeepers and fellow travelers to reveal the Christmas story.  At the end of their journey, visitors will follow a lamplight walkway to the refreshment area, where their “passports” will be stamped, and they can enjoy a warm drink and a cookie.  When ready, they will be given a wagon ride to the exit. This is primarily an outdoor experience so it is important to dress warmly and wear comfortable walking shoes or boots.

We have received news from the North Pole that Santa will be riding our trains departing from the Uxbridge station only on Saturdays, December 1st and 8th and Sundays, November 25th, December 2nd and 9th. All trains departing from Uxbridge station.

Each trip lasts approximately 45 minutes and has on-board entertainment for children of all ages (including the adults!). Santa will be visiting each child at their seat and distributing goodies to each.
