Harvest Festivals, Pumpkinfests and Fall Fairs…oh my!  This weekend has no shortage of fall family fun to get you out and enjoying the nice weather.  So whatever your plans, have fun making some great family memories!

Culture Days raises the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.  With the support of volunteer groups at the national, provincial and local levels, hundreds of thousands of artists, cultural workers, organizations and groups, volunteers and supporters  self-mobilize to host free participatory public activities that take place in hundreds of cities and towns throughout the country.

Fall Festival @ Chappell Farms – Attractions include: Farmyard animals, hay maze, Corn Maze, Boo barn, Trike track, Sand Diggers, Play area, Pick your own pumpkin.  Added attractions on weekends include: Magic shows, Live entertainment, Jumping castle and a Haunted barn.

Belfountain

Salamander Festival – Check out the Annual Salamander Festival at Belfountain Hamlet and Belfountain Conservation Area. Discover the farmers’ and artisans’ market, live entertainment, tasty local food, kids eco zone, real river critters and live animals.

Brampton

Pumpkinfest @Downey’s Farm – Fall fun at Downey’s includes Unlimited Wagon Rides, Live Entertainment, Super-Cat-Super-Curve, Dump Truck Slide, Balloon Typhoon, Trike Track, Face Painting, Straw Jump, Farm Animals, Super Corn Maze and the The Black Hole.  You will not want to miss the fun!

Brighton

Applefest – Applefest activities are centred around the main street.  Events  include a BBQ,  dog show, entertainment, children’s activities, dances, a street fair, car show, arts and crafts, and a parade!

Burlington

Applefest Fall Fair – It’s an old-fashioned fall fair right here in the city! Enjoy the fruit of the season and take part in scarecrow making, pony rides and face painting. See antique tractors and, pioneer apple schnitzing and old-time apple cider making. Artisans, music and live country-style entertainment all day! Plenty of apple specialties and a country BBQ!

Carp

Fall Fair – For a great fall day in the country – where all your senses will be activated – see, hear, smell – come visit Carp Fair and go home exhausted!   3 Days of Fun filled entertainment – Agricultural Displays, Livestock Shows, Family Circle Tent, Live Entertainment, Antique Displays, Midway, Fair Food – Something for every member of your Family.

Coldwater

Fall Fair – The theme for 2014 is Flowers and Butterflies!  The fun includes a Demolition Derby, remote controlled vehicles, Antique & Stock tractor & stock truck pulls, children’s events, entertainment, vendors, displays and more.

Dunville

Richardson’s Farm & Market – Oodles of fun awaits you at the farm this fall.  Explore the 6 km of trail in our 7 acre corn maze, challenge yourself to figure out the  Jammed Tractor mini maze, cats cradle maze and pathway puzzle maze and play in the strawbale maze.  Lasso some toy horses, play in the corn box, enjoy a tractor ride, visit the animals and chuck some pumpkins at targets.  Of course before you leave, don’t forget to get a pumpkin!

Guelph

Fall Rural Romp – Get your Wellies ready! Enjoy a fun-filled day out in the countryside, visiting farms, markets and local food shops. Learn about how your food is grown, visit with farm animals and shop for local food & fall decorations along the way.

Strom’s Farm – Have some fun times at Strom’s Farm in their Harvest Fun area including; Jumpin Jack Tile Maze, Rope Maze, Straw Maze, Pumpkin Chuckin, Wagon Rides, 6 acre Corn Maze (4 miles of paths), Sand Pit, Pedal Carts ,Cedar Spiral and a Pumpkin of a Show Puppet Show.  Open Weekends until the end of  October

Hamilton

Apple Festival @ Battlefield House Museum & Park – Join us for fall-time harvest fun in Battlefield Park. Enjoy a pancake breakfast, games, pumpkin decorating, demonstrations, entertainment, and don’t forget to enter the Battlefield Bake-Off.

Milton

Fall Fair – Food & Fun for Everyone! Midway, Horse Shows, Sunday Classic Car Show, Demo Derby, Crafts, live entertainment and so much more.

Ripley

Fall Fair – The Ripley Fall Fair will overtake the village for three days Sept. 26-28, with a tractor pull, Ambassador competitions, a massive midway, agricultural exhibits, parade and much more.

Ruthven

Apple Festival – Come celebrate the Annual Ruthven Apple Festival at Colasanti’s Tropical Gardens in Ruthven. This is a great community event for the entire family, filled with fun, food, crafts, entertainment and a classic car show on Sunday.

Toronto

Canada’s Baking and Sweets Show – This event has fun for the entire family!  North America’s first and biggest baking and sweets event. Canada’s Baking and Sweets Show takes you on a gourmet grand tour of the most delectable and hottest trends in the world of baking and beyond. Our theme this year is “Alice in Wonderland” so join ALICE for a grand time baking and sampling sweets at Toronto’s Congress Centre!

Wellesley

Apple Butter & Cheese Festival – Every great festival is built on great food, great events, and great fun! In Wellesley, the food begins with a pancake breakfast at the crack of dawn and continues with a smorgasbord at noon, not to mention the apple butter and apple cider available all day long. Enjoy the food while walking around the village and taking in the sights, markets, performances and quilt auction and a stage coach ride and tours and a boat regatta and a horseshoe tournament and … and … and did we mention apple butter?
